Safeguarding & Child Protection

The safety and wellbeing of young people is central to all aspects of our work. We are committed to providing a safe, respectful and professionally governed environment for all participants. Our safeguarding practice aligns with statutory guidance in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
We follow:

-
Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children (ROI)
-
Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland procedures (NI)
-
Relevant data protection legislation (GDPR / UK GDPR)
Safeguarding procedures are reviewed regularly to ensure continued compliance and best practice.
Safer Recruitment & Vetting

All facilitators working directly with young people are subject to the appropriate statutory vetting requirements in the jurisdiction in which they operate. Vetting is processed through authorised bodies in accordance with National Vetting Bureau (ROI) and AccessNI (NI) requirements.
No facilitator undertakes work without appropriate vetting clearance where required.
Designated Safeguarding Lead

A Designated Safeguarding Lead oversees all safeguarding matters. Any concerns regarding the safety or welfare of a young person are recorded and, where appropriate, referred promptly to statutory agencies in line with national procedures.
Our safeguarding policy states that if anyone is worried about a child's safety or well-being that they contact Peter or Chris on +353 83 302 4864
Code of Professional Conduct

All facilitators are expected to uphold the highest standards of professional behaviour when working with young people.
Facilitators will:
