YOUR SOUND, YOUR STAGE

About Us

DJ workshop

NextUp Arts Collective delivers hands-on DJ and music production workshops for schools, youth groups and creative learning programmes. All led by working professionals from the music and creative industries.

Our sessions invite students to step behind the decks or into the studio, where they get real experience using the tools and techniques behind today’s music and content industries. Whether they’re building a beat, shaping a sound, or performing a live mix, students develop practical skills in a fun, creative, and fully immersive environment.

Each workshop builds confidence and creativity while introducing learners to the career paths and opportunities behind the music they love. Our tutors don’t just teach, they work in the industry: performing, producing, managing artists, and creating content for global audiences.

Alongside DJing, our growing production sessions give students the chance to create original tracks from the ground up; developing their own sound and learning how music is made from concept to completion.

At every step, we aim to inspire the next generation of creatives, offering not just skills, but mentorship, insight, and a glimpse into real careers beyond the classroom.

Testimonials

"The DJ workshops were extremely well received by students. They were highly engaged, motivated and enthusiastic throughout the session. It was a very positive learning experience for all abilities and aligned well with the aims of our TY programme. It covers being a learner, personal growth and career exploration in the new TY programme statement. We also included our LCA classes in the workshops. The facilitators are kind, enthusiastic, engaging and friendly - a really easy team to work with. I would HIGHLY recommend this workshop and will be booking it every year from now on."
